Our Commitment
You are never on your own. Every session is led by a trained facilitator who manages the heat, reads the room, and is ready to help the moment anyone needs it.
You are the captain of your own experience. Sit lower where it is cooler, skip the cold plunge, take a round off, or step out anytime. Rest is always allowed, and nothing is ever required.
Our team is trained to respond, and first aid is on site. In a real emergency, we will act quickly and call for help right away.
We manage temperatures, timing, and group size so that every session stays safe, comfortable, and enjoyable, never overwhelming.
Our Ask of You
Heat and cold are powerful. If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, or any medical concern, please check with your doctor before your first session. Everyone accepts our Release of Liability before their first visit.
Drink water before you arrive and bring a bottle. Eat something light an hour or two beforehand, so you come neither too full nor completely empty.
Never come to a session under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is unsafe with heat and cold, and it is not permitted. Icebreak is an alcohol-free space.
Please rinse off in the showers before your first round. It keeps the space clean for everyone and is part of good sauna etiquette.
Heat and cold affect everyone differently. If you feel dizzy, lightheaded, or unwell, stop and step out. There is no prize for pushing through. Keep your breathing slow and steady, and never do breathwork in or near water.
Floors around the sauna and plunge are wet. Please walk, do not run, between the sauna, cold plunge, and showers.
If you are feeling sick, please stay home and rebook. It protects you and everyone else in the room.
The Standards We Hold
Our cold plunge water is treated, filtered, and tested regularly to keep it clean and safe, following the standards set by local health authorities.
We clean and sanitize the sauna, plunge, showers, and lounge on a regular schedule, and we ask every guest to rinse before entering the sauna.
We meet or exceed local health, building, and safety codes for our space and equipment, and we maintain our heaters, plunge, and facilities to those standards.
Our facilitators are trained in the saunagus ritual and in guest safety and first aid, so the person leading your session knows how to keep you safe.
A Safe Space
Icebreak is for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, and disrespect of any kind are not tolerated, and we will act on them. See our Values.
No one has to do anything they are not comfortable with. Your boundaries are yours, and we honor them, always.
If you ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable, tell a facilitator right away, or reach us afterward at hej@icebreaksauna.com. Every message is treated with care and confidentiality, and we take it seriously.
