First Visit
Saunagus is a guided sauna ritual from Denmark. A trained facilitator leads the room through rounds of heat, steam, aromatherapy, and towel work, followed by a cold plunge and time to rest and connect. It is part sauna, part breathwork, part community.
Yes. Most of our guests are new to saunagus. Your facilitator guides every step, and you are always free to take a round at your own pace, sit out the cold, or step outside for air. Come curious and we will take care of the rest.
You move through three rounds of sauna, each with a cold plunge or cool down in between, and finish with time in our social lounge. The facilitator sets the pace with heat, scent, music, and towel work. All you have to do is show up and breathe.
Sessions run about 60 minutes from start to finish, including the rounds and time to rest afterward. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to change and settle in.
Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes before your session so you can change and settle in. Our doors close at the start time, and we cannot admit late arrivals once a session has begun. See our Policies for more.
Booking & Membership
Book through our website or the Icebreak app. Choose your session, reserve your spot, and you are set. You will get a confirmation with everything you need to know before you arrive.
We recommend it. Sessions open up to two weeks ahead and tend to fill quickly. If a session still has room, walk-ins are welcome.
We offer memberships and session packs to fit how often you want to visit. See current options on our Memberships page.

The Experience
Your facilitator, sometimes called a gusmaster, is a trained guide who leads the sauna ritual. They control the heat, steam, scent, and towel work, read the room, and keep everyone safe and comfortable throughout the session.
No. The cold plunge is encouraged but never required. You can cool down with a cold shower or simply rest between rounds. Do what feels right for your body.
Our sauna runs hot, with steam and heat that build through each round. Your facilitator manages the intensity, and you can always sit on a lower bench or step out if you need a break.
The rounds are mostly quiet and focused, guided by your facilitator. Afterward, the social lounge is where people talk, laugh, and connect. That balance of inward and together is the heart of what we do.
The social lounge is a relaxed space to cool down, hydrate, and spend time with the people you just shared the ritual with. No phones, no pressure, just real connection.
Health & Safety
For most healthy adults, yes, when done mindfully. Heat and cold are powerful, so we guide every step, encourage hydration, and remind you to listen to your body and rest whenever you need to.
If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, or any medical concern, please check with your doctor before your first session. Everyone accepts our Release of Liability before their first visit.
Only with clearance from your doctor. Heat and cold exposure carry added risks during pregnancy, so please talk to your physician before booking.
Not at all. Saunagus meets you where you are. You set your own pace, and the facilitator guides the intensity for the whole room. You can step out of any round at any time.
What to Bring
Bring two towels and your swimwear. One towel is to sit on in the sauna and one is to dry off with. Everything else you can pick up in the shop.
No, we do not provide towels. Please bring two of your own: one to sit on and one to dry off with.
Swimwear is required in the sauna and cold plunge, and you will be barefoot beyond the changing area. Robes are available in the shop if you would like one.
Yes. Lockers are provided for your belongings. Please leave valuables at home, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Phones stay in your locker or in the lounge. The sauna, plunge, and session spaces are phone-free so everyone can be present.
